In summary, are you implying one can transfer a license via a clean W10 install to a new computer "without" having to do a reinstall of the original retail OS? What if I bought a retail license that was purchased online or in a store - does the system upgraded to the free Windows 10 upgrade remain licensed as a retail I think I would image your current OS hard drive.
